Andy Murray Fails to Get the Results When It Matters: Out of US Open

Andy Murray hasnt lived up to expectations in any Grand Slam apart from Wimbledon. Andy was showing great form in the lead up to the US Open, but he has been knocked out in the 3rd round overnight. Andy lost in four sets to Swiss player Stanslas Wawrinka 6-7 7-6 6-3 6-3.

Murray definitely didnt play his best tennis, but this performance was just not up to scratch. Wawrinka is a very promising player who’s game is on the rise, but you still would have tipped Murray to get through this.

“He played better than me,” Murray later said. “There’s not a whole lot more to it … I’m just disappointed I didn’t play my greatest tennis here.”
