It seems like winning the Family Circle Cup wasnt enough for Serena to do in a days work. After winning the final Serena appeared on the Home Shopping Network to help sell her corset leggings (Over 17,000 sold).
p.s. Im really surprised Serena isnt selling some sort of workout fitness gear or some body shaping products
Here is the first picture of Amelie Mauresmo working with Victoria Azarenka. Azarenka wanted Mauresmo in her team and her coach Sam Sumyk made it happen.
We would be making a mistake if we were to deprive ourselves of her kind of experience and ability. Amelie is Vika’s choice and from the moment she expressed that wish, I have tried to make it happen.
Here’s how the former No.1 Mauresmo commented on her new cooperation:
Some news from Monaco where I started a work period of 2 weeks a couple days ago with Vika Azarenka! I’m sure it’s gonna be a great adventure and that I can help her by sharing my experience… All the team is amazing and very open with me so thanks to them!
Here are the highlights of the Davis Cup match between Australia’s Matthew Ebden and South Korea’s Suk-Young Jeong. Ebden won in straight sets 6-3 6-3 6-4.
Here are the Davis Cup highlights between Australia and South Korea. This is the doubles rubber that gave Australia the win 3-0. Chris Guccione and Marinko Matosevic defeated Suk-Young Jeong and Jae-Min Seol in four sets.
It was another great win for Serena Williams at the Family Circle Cup. Serena Williams defeated Lucie Safarova 6-0 6-1 in the final. This was by far the most dominant tournament I have ever seen from Serena.
I know the Clay courts in Charleston are a lot different to those in Paris, but this will hold her in good sted for a French Open 2012 push.
Janko Tipsarevic just defeated Radek Stepanek in a marathon Davis Cup match. Tipsarevic won 5-7 6-4 6-4 4-6 9-7. However, it was not without incident as Stepanek didnt shake hands at the end of the match and their were some choice words said.
Here are a couple of special pictures of Victoria Azarenka taken during the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami. Cant believe someone let Victoria drive a Ferrari
The Great Britain team are playing their Davis Cup match this weekend without Andy Murray. Its going to be tough, but the team looks quietly confident.
I came across this amazing photo taken at the Family Circle Cup yesterday between Safarova and Wozniack. Its a real shame when you have great players like Wozniack and Safarova playing on an outside court with no one watching!
Can someone explain to me why this top level of tennis is only available to watch for the 5 people there (or 1,000 at the whole tournament) and not available for the millions online?
It seems as though Tournaments and the WTA are still missing out on several revenue streams and are yet to properly adopt new technologies. No wonder that Tennis is still lagging behind other sports in terms of viewership numbers!
Tennis Australia was nice enough to send us the video of their Davis Cup draw against South Korea. The draw was held at Brisbane’s Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary.
It seems like Tennis Australia has finally worked out how social media works and they are the best tennis organisation online at the moment.
