Ben Mitchell and Bojana Bobusic have won wildcards into the Australian Open 2013. Australia has been hosting their wildcard playoff tournament.

Mitchell, 20, beat Matthew Reid, 6-3, 7-6 (5), 3-6, 6-4, while Bobusic, 25, defeated Monique Adamczak, 6-1, 6-3. “The goal is 2013, not necessarily this tournament, so it’s just trying to put everything in perspective and work on specific things in my game and trying to get a good start for 2013,” Bobusic told the Tennis Australia web site.

“Tennis is what I do and it’s what I love to do. It’s great that it’s just all starting to come together.”
