I guess it might be a good idea to check the start time of the matches! I thought it was once again 11am but was wrong. I got there just before 11 and only onto Centre Court after 5 games. I stayed for a while before checking out Tipsarevic on Court 1. Very one-sided match that was over very quickly. On my way I had checked to see if Novak had called any press conference, the answer was no so I presumed he would play. Went back to Centre and watched all of Murray v Chardy, which again was a bit one-sided. Bongoman was once again in attendance as were a few hungry people around me. Everyone was munching away on their lunch so I joined them and eat a banana.

Afterwards I made my way back to the media centre and started to write this report, keeping an eye on the TV for the first sign of Novak. Not sure who played the first set but it sure didn’t look like the 2011 version of Novak. 2nd set was a lot better as the serve started to find range. A cheeky backhand flick set up an error from Dodig to give him the break in the first game of the set. Everything seemed to click into place then and there was only going to be one winner.

I went to watch Novak’s press conference so I missed all of Isner’s match and part of Roger. I decided to try and catch some doubles today so went to Court 2 for Murray & Hutchins. The highlight of this was having Mr Bongoman sit next to me 🙂 Unfortunately he did not play 🙁 I moved next door for Seppi v Almagro and as it was a packed court in the public area I went to sit behind the baseline where the players/officials sit. Only problem with this was the net but I suppose it is better than getting smacked in the face with the ball. I totally forgot all about Roger’s post match presser and only arrived for the French part. I had no idea what was said but I can let all the ladies know that his hair looked lovely 🙂

As I had resisted the urge to go outside and buy a panini I went to the press bar and bought a croissant instead. I looked at my receipt and it showed I had €48. I think I had the allowance wrong, you get €50 per day! Going to be having some Corona from now on.

More court hopping to catch the end of Seppi v Almagro & watch Mayer v Fish. Back to Centre for Monfils v Lopez. Caught Monfils presser but all in French. Finished off with the first set of Simon v Monaco. I think I will take my laptop with me from now on; it makes more sense to type during the day instead of writing it down then copying when I get home. Hopefully this will give me more time to watch the matches till the very end.

That is all for now. Photos will follow tomorrow (when they finally finish uploading!)
