Bojana Bobusic is a player on fire at the moment. Bojana recently won the Australian Open 2013 wildcard tournament and now she has gone through qualifying at the Brisbane International 2013.

Bojana is currently ranked 334 in the world and required a wildcard into qualifying, but she has won through against Krystina Pliskova (104 in the world) 6-4 4-6 6-4. Bojana will now play renchwoman Alize Cornet in the first round where the winner’s prize will be a meeting with Serena Williams.

Tennis Australia also called Bojana a late bloomer and even mentioned this was due to her going to College in the USA at the University of California. Seems like Tennis Australia puts more of an emphasis on players going professional as early as possible instead of gaining an education and a solid background first!
