This morning I came across the new online home of Tennis Canada, LoveMeansNothing.ca. I find it amazing how a professional tennis organisation can have selected such a poor URL and then launch such a poorly designed site! After taking a good look at the site I was more than impressed. I really think Tennis Canada and other tennis organisations should hire a strong web development team before launching such a site.

    Yen-Hsun Lu has been the main man in Asian tennis since his great result at this years Wimbledon. Lu was just featured on the cover over the Taiwanese version of GQ Magazine. He is looking like he is loving all the attention. It would be great to see him and other Asian stars raise their games and get the top of Mens and Womens tennis.

    Jo-Wilfried Tsonga is now in doubt for the US Open. L’Equipe, France’s leading tennis magazine, recently spoke with Tsonga about his current knee injury. The injury was sustained in the quarterfinal loss to Andy Murray at Wimbledon. Tsonga will now undergo his final MRI just before the start of the US Open.

    Darren Cahill has now completely ruled out the possibility of becoming Andy Murray’s full-time coach.

    We reported that Cahill would become Murray’s new coach, but since that time Cahill has now stated that is just simply not going to be possible.

    “I’m not sure, but it looks like he’s leaning towards employing a full-time coach, and that can’t be me. I’m not in a position to be anybody’s full-time coach with my commitments here at ESPN and also as a consultant for Adidas,”stated Cahill.

    Cahill will be at Murray’s disposal though, through their relationship with Adidas, which would allow the Aussie to help Murray on a part-time basis.

      Yesterday we reported that Andy Murray had split from Miles Maclagan, but now The Guardian has suggested that the Scot will likely begin a coaching tenor with Australian coach Darren Cahill after the US Open.

      Murray, who is currently sponsored by Adidas, would have an opportunity to work with Cahill based on the clothing and shoe maker’s development program. Cahill has also worked with other Adidas players, such as Ana Ivanovic, Fernando Gonzalez, and Fernando Verdasco.

      Cahill will continue to fulfill his broadcasting duties for ESPN throughout the summer, while Murray will work with part-time coach Alex Corretja

      Andy Murray has announced on his site that he is no longer working with Miles Maclagan. Anyway, according to an article by The Telegraph there have been rumblings for weeks and it wasn’t so mutual though still amicable. The rumour is that Murray was keen to keep Miles on his coaching team, but Miles wanted a break.

      Alex Corretja has been working with Andy Murray for a long time as a part-time advisor. Corretja will remain and will help Murray get ready for the US Open and US Hard court season.

      Frank Dancevic sustained an injury in the qualifying rounds of the Atlanta event this week when he crashed into the scoreboard. Dancevic was playing match point against Nick Lindahl when he crashed into the scoreboard.

      Dancevic will now miss the next two weeks of events, which wont help his current ranking of 227 in the world.

      I also wish we had the incident of video, so if anyone know where we can our hands on it then let us know.

      Nikolay Davydenko is reported to not be working with his coach/brother Eduardo Davydenko anymore. Eduardo was helping Nikolay on a week to week basis, so does this mean Nikolay has now found a more permanent coach?

      Eduardo at present is focusing more on his 17 year old son Philip and coaching him to become a professional player. Nikolay needs a fulltime professional coach and Eduardo was just unable to commit.

      Gael Monfils seems to be in great form at the moment, as he has just booked himself a place in the Stuttgart ATP World Tour final. Gael defeated Daniel Gimeno-Traver of Spain 6-4 4-6 6-0. He will now face Albert Montanes in the final. Montanese has been playing some great clay court tennis and he defeated Juan Carlos Ferrero 6-3 7-6 to make the final.
