Paola Suarez has decided to play doubles at the London Olympics with Gisela Dulko. Initally Suarez said no.. but after thinking about it for a long time she changed her mind and thought it would be fun.

There is still no word on whether it is just going to be for the Olympics or whether Suarez will return to play on the tour.

Arantxa Sanchez-Vicario has just released her book in which she has announced that her parent stole $50 million of her earnings and that she no longer speaks to them.

“My parents made me suffer a lot,” she commented and said she has no relationships with anyone in her family, including her two former pro player brothers, Emilio and Javier.

Sanchez won $16.9 million dollars in prize money in her 17-year career but claims that overall (including endorsements) she took in about $59 million.

“Today I am without resources,” said Sanchez, who has just taken over as Spain’s Fed Cup captain.

After losing at the Australian Open, Wozniacki has gone down in the rankings to No. 4 in the world. It is unknown who she will hire as a new coach or if she will hire another coach at all, but she hasn’t been confident on the road to a Slam win ever since claiming that number one spot. Her father Piotr is quoted saying that his daughter just didn’t get a lot of inspiration from Sanchez and he couldn’t handle being the one in the middle of the father-daughter coaching relationship.

Hopefully because of her drop, Caroline will find a new hunger to pursue her goal of becoming a Grand Slam champion. She actually has a good chance at the upcoming Roland Garros in May. Well known for her ability to play defense, on a surface like clay it’s really important to use the maximum amount of your agility to get to every ball, so hopefully she will have a breakthrough there and a strong record coming into Paris.

Svetlana Kuznetsova and Vera Zvonareva have women the Australian Open 2012 womens doubles over Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci 5-7, 6-4, 6-3.

“We were a last-moment sign-up for doubles and I think we were pretty good at it,” Kuznetsova said to the crowd at Rod Laver Arena after the match.

Russian Fed Cup team is looking very strong this year!
