Davis Cup Semi-Finals for 2008, Plus Qualifying for 2009, Who Will Win

This weekend is the Davis Cup world group semi-finals and the playoffs for next years main draw. Currently, in the semi-finals Argentina is leading Russia by two to one, and Spain is beating the USA by the same score. I still very much think it will be an Argentine vs Spanish final. However, the Davis Cup has a long standing tradition in tennis, but it still doesnt seem to have the coverage it deserves.

Additionally, most of the key countries only have two good players and this really gives them the opportunity not only to compete, but actually be very hard to beat. Eventually, I would really like to see a team event with a lot more team members involved, thus giving the majority of countries a better chance to win.

Anyways, enough of my rambling. I will be back on Monday to let everyone know the results of the Davis Cup and who will be competing in the final for 2008.
