Fernando Verdasco Reaches Semi-Final of Australian Open 2009

Fernando Verdasco grew a huge amount in 2007 and 2008, and it seems that he has taken this confidence and good form to the Australian Open in which he is now in the Semifinals. Verdasco who has been in the headlines a lot recently because of his relationship with Ana Ivanovic, has finally made the headlines for a different reason. Fernando defeated Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the Quarterfinals 7-6 3-6 6-3 6-2, to book his place against either Raphael Nadal or Gilles Simon.
