Llyeton Hewitt Purchases New House In The Bahamas

hewitt new house in bahamasIt has been reported by the Herald Sun that Lleyton and Bec Hewitt have just purchased a new house in the Bahamas. Tennis pros pay tax in the country where they earn prizemoney and also to the Australian Tax Office. However, the Bahamas is a bit of a tax haven.

Previously Pat Rafter was based in Bermuda for much of his career – and was criticised on becoming Australian of the Year, as Bermuda is a tax haven.

The Hewitt’s are planning on spending Australian winters in the Bahamas, its a tough life for some. Woman’s Day, who the Hewitt’s love, also reports this week on Bec’s misery at being forced to leave Australia to live in a luxurious gated community thousands of miles from loved ones.

The house itself was purchased for $3.8 million and is a four bedroom, four bathroom waterfront villa at Old Fort Bay.
