The lovely people over at Adidas were nice enough to send us some Adidas Barricade 8 shoes to test out. I remember when the Barricade shoe first came out and it was the shoes that everyone wanted, and it seems with the Barricade 8 it still have that same appeal.

Adidas consulted Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic about the Barricade 8. The Barricade 8 has a brand new upper, great new D-Core 6 technology (as good as shoe technology can be ;)) and it still provides great support and stability as the Barricade always has. I had to laugh a little when I read that the Barricade 8 was “inspired by the material of outdoor furniture” (Im not even sure how that is possible).

Overall the Barricade 8 is a shoe that I highly recommend for all levels of players. The Barricade 8 has great support and stability while being noticeably softer and more breathable. Additionally, it has a great design which provides maximum ankle support (VITAL in a tennis shoe). Plus it comes with a 6 month durability guarantee.

You can buy the Adidas Barricade 8 here on Amazon.

p.s. It’s also miCoach compatible.
