Serena Williams and Her Nike Handbag

Serena Williams is into the Australian Open final for 2009 where she will play Dinara Safina for the title and the world number 1 spot. However, Serena over the last two weeks has had a new accessory that never seems to leave her side. This accessory comes by the way of a Nike Handbag.

Nike is of course Serena’s clothing sponsor and I’m sure it is in her contract to wear their clothing, but I’m not so sure about this bag. I doubt very much the bag would be directly into the clothing sponsorship deal, thus it must be an add-on. I would expect Nike to be paying Serena a little extra pocket money to keep carrying around this bag for the length of the tournament. This is a great decision by Nike because since Serena has made the final they have had great coverage all week.
