I think it’s absolutely wonderful that Serena has won her 13th GS Title and counting. She is the greatest player of all time, because I do not believe the GOAT title has to do with just the number of GS titles you win. It has to do with every aspect of your game and Serena has it all. She has the best serve in the history of womens tennis, she has speed, agility, she has great court sense and her groundstrokes are hard, fast and accurate. If she were to play any of the great tennis players that came before her, Margaret Court, Martina Navratilova, Helen Wills-Moody, Chris Evert today, she would blow them off the court. She’s already beaten No. 2 on the all time list, Steffi Graf who holds 22 GS titles.

I am happy that SI has once again decided to have her on the cover of their magazine. However, I fear the SI jinx will strike again. The last time she was on the cover, she was about to defend her ’03 Roland Garros/French Open title and she lost to Justine on her way to her 5th GS win in a row coming off the heels of her Serena Slam. We’ll just have to see what happens at the US Open this year. I wish her all of the best and congratulations on winning her 4th Wimbledon Championships and 13th major title.

Really Sports ILLUSTRATED, Really? You couldn’t possiblty find a more flattering yet imposing picture of Serena?
C’mon there are plenty grit filled yet still feminine photos of this American queen of Tennis (whether u want to admit it or not).
Your sports illustrated for goodness sake, and i expect more than the seemingly status quo picture showing the depth, mystery and sultry, yet fiercly competitive mystic nature of this woman.

Yeh it is great to see that they didnt just put her in a bikini and do a basic shoot. They took a real action shot!
