Serena Williams Only Played at 20 Percent at Sony Ericsson Open

Serena Williams seems to have come out with yet another stupid comment. After her loss at the Sony Ericsson Open in Miami to Caroline Wozniacki, Serena said the following:

“The good thing is I could’ve played a lot better,” Serena told reporters. “I probably played about 20 percent. You know, it would really suck and if I had to sit here and say I couldn’t do any better. That’s not the case. I just made a tremendous amount of errors.┬áThere’s no reason for that. I’m older and I shouldn’t do that. There’s no excuse. I just gotta stop that. It’s silly.”

Serena only played at 20 percent. Is this not just a rude comment towards Wozniacki and her play?

I think she played better than 20%. However, she is rusty and didn’t play all that well IMO. Why is it a stupid comment? Just because Serena Williams said it? I swear, this woman can’t win. IF she’s complementing another player it’s her being fake. When she’s upset with herself and her play, people say she’s a sore loser. At this point, I hope she does what’s best for HER and ignores people like the one who said her comment about losing to Wozniacki was stupid. By the way, Caro lost to Maria and she said she wasn’t playing her best. AND? Of course. NO comment about her or about her not really giving credit to Maria for beating HER.
