I found these pictures of JM del Potro’s possible outfit that he is going to wear for the Australian Open 2012. Is green on the go this year in Melbourne?
Thank you Nev1.
Oh, and by the way, here are some more pieces from his collection:
It wasnt a great weekend for Novak Djokovic! Djokovic hurt his back in the Davis Cup match against Juan Martin Del Potro, which allowed Argentina to defeat Serbia and move into the final.
In the third game of the second set, Djokovic re-aggravated the back injury he first had during the US Open.
Gisela Dulko married Fernando Gago yesterday in Buenos Aires. The pair met back in 2009 during the Madrid WTA tour event. Gago lives in Madrid as he plays football for Real Madrid.
There will be a big reception party tomorrow night in which 400 guests are invites to attend Tattersal, a very exclusive place in Palermo.
Guillermo Canas is back coaching Ernests Gulbis. Canas was working with Gulbis at Wimbledon and has not started to help him train again.
Canas was known for being one of the fitest players on tour and hopefully he can instill such a work ethic into Gulbis. Gulbis of late has been one of the players on tour I expected a lot more from, but he has never lived up to expectations.
Gulbis just stopped a five-match losing streak with a 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 win over Xavier Malisse at this weeks Farmers’ Classic in Los Angeles.
Last week we talked about Elena Dementieva and her marriage. Now it is Gisela Dulko’s turn to get married. Dulko will marry Real Madrid soccer player Fernando Gago next Tuesday in Argentina.
Dulko has been playing great on tour and she was even named as Argentina’s Sportswoman of the year last year.
David Nalbandian has really had a tough run in recent times with injury. Nalbandian was previously out for over a year with a hernia and hamstring tear and it now seems as though he is going to be out of action for a lot longer. Nalbandian now has an adductor (groin) injury that bothered him in his Wimbledon match against Roger Federer. Additionally, the haematomia is very visible and associated with his abdominal hernia operation.
I hope this isnt the last we see of David Nalbandian on court!
Rafael Nadal will miss Spain’s Davis Cup final against Argentina because of a knee injury.
The top-ranked Nadal said Monday he was still struggling with tendinitis in his right knee following a week of treatment.
“The knee said no,” the 22-year-old said.
Spain team doctor Angel Ruiz-Cotorro said Nadal would need three to six weeks to recover from the injury.
“These are very difficult moments, but I have done all that I could to be ready for the final,” he said. “It was a huge objective, and I’m used to playing with pain, but this is a distinct, new pain that I couldn’t control.”
Nadal’s absence deals a big blow to Spain’s bid for a third Davis Cup title since 2000. Spain captain Emilio Sanchez Vicario has until Tuesday to name his team.
Spain plays Argentina on indoor hard court at Mar del Plata from Nov. 21-23.
“We’re sorry for him, but it’s good news. Spain is one thing with Nadal and another thing without him,” Argentine captain Alberto Mancini told Buenos Aires-based radio station Continental.
As we talked about a few days ago, the Davis Cup semifinals have been happening and there was no real upsets in the final results. Spain secured victory with a 4-1 win over the USA, while Argentina defeated Russia in the other semi.
The final is going to be very interesting Spain and Raphael Nadal vs Argentina with Nalbandian and Del Potro. Spain still have to be the favourites, but I can see Nadal winning both his singles matches but them losing 3-2 overall!
