Bernard Tomic in not so surprising news has decided to sell his V8 BMW M3.
I wish to move forward from this and use it as part of my learning experience, so I’ve decided to sell my BMW. I’ll put my dream car on hold for a while and in the next few years I’ll look again and hopefully I will be able to find a similar car. I now want to focus on my tennis without any distractions.
Tomic has a court date on February 14 for driving the car in areas not permitted under his license.

Caroline Wozniacki will be looking stunning at the Australian Open 2012 in a Tomato Red Stella McCartney dress. I love this promotional photo because it makes her look like a million dollars.

Serena Williams is already on the practice court ready for the Australian Open 2012. It seemed like her injury was over exaggerated and she will definitely be playing in Melbourne.

Sacha Jones has decided to switch elegances and moves from playing for New Zealand to Australia. This move will allow the 21 year old Aucklander to play to Australia as of next week.
“I’m very grateful for the support that Tennis New Zealand has given to my career to date but, if I want to achieve my goals, I believe that being involved in the Australian program will give me the best opportunity to do it.”
With a New Zealand mother and an Australian father, Jones has dual nationality and had the option of playing for either country.
Matthew Ebden had a great 2011 for results and Tennis Australia has decided to award him a wildcard into the Brisbane ATP Tour event.
Ebden is currently Australia’s number 2 mens player, so Im sure we will be seeing a lot of him in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne. I just hope he can play some great tennis and get the results he deserves.

Bernard Tomic is now claiming police harassment. Tomic was reportedly under investigation for dangerous driving. Now the wannabe tennis superstar is claiming that the police are targeting him specifically. Basically, he says he is being victimised by a ‘jealous’ Gold Coast traffic cop who has pulled him up several times while out and about in his distinctive bright orange BMW M3.
One thing I have learnt is to never get on the bad side of cops!
“He doesn’t like me for some reason … he’s always on my tail,” the teenager said.
“I think it’s really bad. I haven’t done a thing wrong – I just go about my business as a tennis player.”

Svetlana Kuznetsova has decided to start the year off with a new coach. Svetlana rehired Olga Morozova as her coach. Kuznetsova is currently training with Morozova in Dubai ready for the hot Australian summer. It will be very interesting to see if she is able to improve her performances from 2011, where she didnt do so well.
Bernard Tomic hasn’t had the greatest week. Tomic drives a BMW M3 at home on the Gold Coast, Australia. The P-Plate license he has doesn’t normally allow someone to drive such a powerful car, but for him they were lift. However, now there have been a lot of complaints against Tomic and the police launched an investigation into ‘dangerous driving’ allegations against Tomic.
The special conditions mean that Tomic is only allowed to drive the luxury sports car to drive directly to and from tennis training at the Queen St courts in Southport.
Bernard you must be expecting to lose your license.. or at least your privileges to drive your BWM M3.

Qualifying for the Australian Open 2012 wildcard has begun and here are some of the highlights from Day 2 matches.
JP Smith vs Chris Guccione
Marinko Matosevic vs Sam Groth
p.s As I predicted… JP Smith is going to be the player to watch for 2012!
Tennis Australia has just released the promo video for the Australian National League tennis. However, I didnt realise its not a national league at all! Only VIC, WA and SA will be competing.
Bit of a joke!

Ian Goolagong (brother of Evonne) has been appointed to Tennis Australia in the role of National Indigenous Coach.
Goolagong’s role as National Indigenous Coach will include:
“Creating pathways for the next generation of indigenous tennis players will be a major focus of my new role, for example – training pathways, National Academy and Australian Institute of Sport pathways,” Goolagong said.
Official Australian Open 2012 TV commercial is here and it looks great!

Roger Federer was nice enough to stop and sign some autographs for kids as he gets ready to play the Davis Cup in Sydney.
Straight after the US Open everyone moves to their respective Davis Cup ties. Here is the first press conference we found and its for the Davis Cup 2011 World Group Playoff between Australia and Switzerland.
p.s. Federer wasnt there, but he is flying in on Wednesday.

Samantha Stosur has become the first Australian lady to win a Grand Slam since Evonne Goolagong in 1980! Congrats Sam! Sam won 6-2 6-3.
Samantha had an amazing game plan against Serena and executed it perfectly. At time Serena looked like she just wasnt able to do anything right and Stosur kept hitting winner after winner.
I was so glad to see that Serena got a point penalty for yelling come-on, when the ball was still on her side of the court. I wonder if this is the start of something to come on the ladies tour with grunting?
Anyways, Stosur played an amazing match and it was great to see her do so well!
Congrats Sam!
Very quick interview with James Duckworth who is a young Australian player who will hopefully be rising through the ranks in 2011-2012.
Duckworth finished 2010 at 755 in the world and already this year he has been able to improve that ranking to 330 at present.
Expect big things from James Duckworth in the future!
p.s. Shout out to Ian Prangley who I know from my time at home playing when I was younger!
