Lots of American tennis players stopped by the White House on Monday for the 134th annual Easter Egg Roll, celebrating the theme “Let’s Go, “Let’s Play, Let’s Move”.
Tennis players who attended included Andy Roddick, Michel Chang, Taylor Dent, Jack Sock, along with Chris Evert, Chanda Rubin, Vania King and Bethanie Mattek-Sands, assisted with the USTA’s 10 and Under Tennis on-court activities, supporting First Lady Michelle Obama’s
“Incredible day at the white house!” tweeted Sock, the US Open Mixed Doubles champion. “Great experience and atmosphere with all the athletes! #eastereggrollisawesome”
Here is a recent tour through Bethanie Mattek-Sands’ house in a Cribs style. This was filmed not too long ago and the design of her house is not exactly what I expected. Bethanie is really into fashion and design, but she didnt design or furnish her house at all, that was left to the hubby!
Here is a great video from the WTA of Bethanie Mattek-Sands trying to surf. Bethanie went to the south of France to meet two time European surfing champion Lee-Ann Curren.
Would have been nice to see a little more of Bethanie surfing and a little less straight promo.
Here is yet another great video from the WTA Tour’s “Strong is Beautiful” campaign. Sorana Cirstea and Bethanie Mattek-Sands do a bit of paintballing in London.
It was all glamour at the Pre-Wimbledon Party of 2011. The women stars of the game got dressed up and this year it was particuarly interesting with each of the players wearing an outfit that was designed by a British designer. Let’s take a look at some of the girls who headlined the show.
Jelena Jankovic wore a Vivienne Westwood dress
Ana Ivanovic wore a Matthew Williamson dress
Maria Sharapova wore an all Alexander McQueen ensemble.
Serena Williams wore a Burberry gown.
Betanie Mattek-Sands surprised everyone with a dress made by one of Lady Gaga’s designers
Caroline Wozniacki wore a Stella McCartney dress and who also designs her on-court dresses as well.
Other players who were at the party include Li Na (wore Giles Deacon); Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (wore David Koma); Andrea Petkovic (wore Richard Nicoll); Heather Watson (wore Mulberry); and Laura Robson (wore Temperley). Nicholas Kirkwood provided shoes for the occasion.
If your a fan of Bethanie Mattek-Sands you need to check out the USAToday as she will be blogging for them throughout the French Open and possibly beyond.
Im hoping that Bethanie gets through a few rounds, so the USAToday actually get some decent content!
Bethanie Mattek-Sands recently had a great opportunity to sit down with with world famous fashion designer Alex Noble. Noble has designed clothing for Lady Gaga amoung other celebrities. Im a little worried about what fashion designs this pair will come up with.
The New York Times recently did a story about Bethanie Mattek-Sands dressing herself up in soccer-like garb every four years for the World Cup. I think it might also be a bit of a coincidence that Bethanie has been playing terrible tennis and even looking a bit sick, since she got married!
