Here are the Davis Cup highlights between Australia and South Korea. This is the doubles rubber that gave Australia the win 3-0. Chris Guccione and Marinko Matosevic defeated Suk-Young Jeong and Jae-Min Seol in four sets.
Marinko Matosevic has been given a wildcard into the Sony Ericsson Open starting in Florida. Matosevic has risen 100 spots in the last two months and is now at 122 in the world.
“I feel like I’m playing some really good tennis, so anything’s possible now,” Matosevic told AAP.
“Miami gets windy, guys get injured, so hopefully I don’t get any of the top four guys early and the draw opens up for me.”
What an amazing week for Marinko Matosevic who made the final of the ATP Tour Delray Beach tournament. There were a lot of the worlds best players in the tournament, but Matosevic who was a qualifier made it all the way to the final. Matosevic lost the final to Kevin Anderson 6-4 7-6, but it was still the best week of tennis in his career.

Marinko Matosevic has won the Australian Open 2012 playoff and earnt himself a wildcard into the Australian Open 2012. Matosevic defeated James Duckworth in the final 6-4 6-1 6-2.
While in the female side of the draw Ashleigh Barty (the 15 year old) won in straight sets over Olivia Rogowska 7-6 6-2.
Lleyton Hewitt and Chris Guccione have been able to push Australia ahead in their Davis Cup tie against China. The pair defeated Maoxin Gong and Zhe Li 6-4 6-4 6-4.
Australia now lead the tie 2-1.

In a bit of a shock, Lleyton Hewitt has been left out of Australia’s Davis Cup tie with China. Hewitt has been saved for the doubles match while Bernard Tomic and Marinko Matosevic will play the single rubbers.
Tomic (71) and Matosevic (141) are still heavy favourites against the Chinese players Wu (404) and Zhang Ze (382).
Hewitt and Chris Guccione will contest the doubles rubber against Mao-Xin Gong and and Li Zhe.
