Ryan Harrison has renewed his contract with Babolat. Ryan has been using Babolat racquets since he was 12 and really thinks the racquets will help his career (plus im sure he got a great deal of money).

John Isner has decided to start the 2012 season with a new sponsors. John has moved from Nike to Lacoste. Obivously Lacoste were offering some good money.

Isner had been sponsored by Nike since his college years at the University of Georgia, and will now join a strong Lacoste team which includes Richard Gasquet and Milos Raonic.

Vera Zvonareva is the latest player to switch sponsors, moving from K-Swiss to Fila. Fila already has some great players on their roster for 2012 including Kim Clijsters and Svetlana Kuznetsova.

I have admired the Fila brand since I was a young girl and I am thrilled to join the elite group of athletes that have worn Fila throughout the years. The Fila brand aligns so well with my personal style, and I look forward to wearing Fila’s tennis line in Australia.

Viktor Troicki was an amazingly player last year and increased his ranking to the number 28 spot in the world. Troicki also became a hero when his country won the Davis Cup for the very first time. Viktor Troicki has announced that he has signed a new clothing sponsorship deal with Adidas for the 2011 season.

This is a great achievement for Troicki who is now sponsored by what I think as the top tennis clothing brand at the moment.

Sponsorship deals like this really make me wonder who is running companies like Longines and deciding that providing tennis players with sponsorships is really going to help them sell more watches. I can see that providing one of the top 5 players in the world with sponsorships might be a good idea, but only if you can get this is some advertising campaigns in return, thus providing a top quality brand image. However, im sure Radwanska by herself wont help Longines to sell any more of their world famous watches!
