The show is being produced by British Telecom and IMG and will be sold by Pitch International, a British sales agency with soccer and rugby experience.”

Im not too sure however that providing more details about the tour is really going to help the profile of the sport. However, im keen to see how this develops and it would also be great to see a show about professional players on the lower level tennis tours.

The show pits a competitor against a star who then play a series of 7 random games and if the competitor wins they receive 50,000 pounds. Hingis is not the first tennis start to be on the show, Martina Navratilova and Greg Rusedski have previously made appearances.

I have noticed here in the UK that tennis is pretty much never on TV, except Grand Slams. In the USA they have the Tennis Channel, but why has the Tennis Channel not got onto Sky yet? Additionally, how come they never cover the lower level tours, like Futures and Challengers? There could be some interesting pieces on finding the next Roger Federer or Raphael Nadal, but they seem to have such a narrow focus.
