Tennis Canada Has a New Official Online Home: LoveMeansNothing.ca

This morning I came across the new online home of Tennis Canada, LoveMeansNothing.ca. I find it amazing how a professional tennis organisation can have selected such a poor URL and then launch such a poorly designed site! After taking a good look at the site I was more than impressed. I really think Tennis Canada and other tennis organisations should hire a strong web development team before launching such a site.

While browsing the Rogers Cup official program for the 2010 championships at the Rexall Centre, I came across a few pages of volunteers. One of the volunteer categories has me puzzled. What do the initials PCOC stand for. While you are at it, what does CCC stand for as well??

I love watching tennis. the web site lovemeansnothing was to me
a bit strange. Now I get it. Never came to my mind it was related to tennis. Now I see. not impressed.
    Bye – ali

I must agree. This is a disasterously bad campaign with a terrible URL that has no resonance in the public’s mind. Even the commercial with the dog chewing a ball is so meaningless, so stupid, and worst of all, unmemorable. Whoever got this account should be fired.

I have been watching all of the US Open so have been puzzled every day by this disjointed meaningless commercial which itself “means nothing.” The picture of the dog is very unpleasant – maybe the only “crime against humanity” is making us look at this. What on earth does it all mean?? The gap betwen Federer’s great shot and the following shot of a piece of pizza is also weird. Please get rid of it before the next tournament. Colleen

All of my tennis friends, especially those who love dogs, think that your one commercial involving a dog is VERY stupid! I have seen it a zillion times and still cannot stand it!
I record the matches now so that I can skip this commercial!
